Food was excellent and worth the small wait.

The food was not what I consider fine dining. Shortly after consuming my over-priced meal, I experienced cramps and diarrhea. I had Oysters Rockehfeller and Spinach and Artichoke Dip as appetizers. The chips served with the dip were over spiced. The oysters were still connected to the shell and tepid. I had asparagus that was too salty. My steak was seasoned with some strange seasoning. I ordered a Bourbon sauce as an extra for the steak and what arrived was a bowl of BBQ sauce. All in all, this restaurant serves over-priced and ill prepared basic food that might make you sick.

Been a long time since I've eaten somewhere this good.

My family has visited The Golden Horn several times within the past 6 months because the food is typically very good. However, on the past two visits, the wait times have been awful. We were celebrating three family birthdays in May and waited more than 2 hours before receiving our food. The restaurant was pretty crowded, so we opted not to complain. We decided to give it another try tonight (Saturday) to celebrate our anniversary. Only 2-3 tables had patrons, so we thought we’d hit it at a perfect time. After not receiving our meal an hour and a half later and with no one bothering to give us a reason why, we threw in the towel (or in this case, napkin) and left. Won’t make the mistake of going back again.

My wife Vicki and I went here on Valentine's night. The food ( we had steak ) was good. We waited for over an hour to get our food, and they actually wasn't that busy. Not worth the wait. I understand that their Seafood is good. Maybe next time we will try that if we decide to go back.

Probably the best steaks available in the area. Old fashioned steak house that reminds me of the seventies.

Tonight was the 1st time that we have eaten from your restaurant. It's my Birthday so I wanted a good steak and baked potato, I am glad that we decided to give ya'll a try, you have earned new customers. My husband said that the fried shrimp that he has ever had, my mom said that the catfish was delicious and my NY strip had an awesome taste, a little tough but tasted good enough to not need steak sauce. Thanks for the free cheese sticks and providing an awesome meal for my birthday.

My husband took me for my birthday. We got the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. The chips were awesome!! My husband got the New York striped that was seasoned to perfection & would melt in your mouth! I had the shrimp & they were delicious! I would highly recommend the Golden Horn! Service was also great!

My experience was terrible, but my food was really good! It was my Birthday and my Boyfriend and family brought me here for the experience and it was terrible. We waited about an hour. The waitress was snappy responding to us all. They rarely come to fill our drinks. It was just terrible. If I could give no stars I would, but because the food was good I had to give 1 star. Terrible terrible customer service.

Alittle expensive but well worth the prices. The food and drinks were Mmm mmm GOOD!

Food was delicious, son & grandson had the ribeye with twice baked potatoes, daughter-in-law had the grilled tuna, baked potato wirh brocolli and I had the blackend grouper & baked potato all if us ordered the salad wedge, we ordered a fried crab as appetizers...as I said all delicious. Problem was the apps took about 30 minutes and the brought the salad wedges out after they had brought out the meals....just service was not up to what it could've/should've been.

Spent 45 minutes waiting for our food. The waitress did not provide any updates during this time. To top it all off, when we finally did receive our food my catfish was not fully cooked and the hush puppies were chewy. Rather than wait another 45 minutes for more food we just paid our bill (20 minutes later) and left. Definitely will not be back.

Food was wonderful. But the time it took to get the food was awful. We order at 7:40 p.m and didn't get out food till 9:00 p.m.

Me & my husband have tried this restaurant twice & have yet to taste anything besides salad & appetizers. The wait is ridiculous! Tonight we waited a hour and a half after being seated & still no entree. We will never come back, that's sad because we have no idea if the food is good or not.

I do not think the price is over rated. Had to wait 3 hours for my food the first time I went, on a Saturday, but it was worth the wait. Food is really good and hot. Went back on a Tuesday, much better, no long wait and the food was great. The food is really good, and a very friendly place. Keep in mind that it is not a fast food restaurant. Don't go super hungry but if you want a good hot meal and patience this is a great place to go. The food is good.

I was surprised. This was my first visit to the Golden Horn. It's a little dated on the inside, but the staff is awesome, and my steak was cooked perfectly. I had heard rumors that it was overpriced, but that isn't the case. The prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back there.

Great staff and wonderful food. We were part of a 60+ member party. Carl Hogan Honda in Columbus, MS won the 2018 President's Award. They worked with us on the food orders. Everyone had an amazing time.

I read the reviews before coming here. Waiter Daniel is outstanding! Never a dry cup, prompt and professional along with attentiveness. Appetizers were very prompt, salads came immediately after. Steak took an extra moment but not as long as the reviews are stating. The smell of steak in the atmosphere makes your mouth water!! Steak arrived an OMG it is phenomenal!! This is the BEST steaks around from Winona to Columbus. Ask for Daniel, I bet you won’t regret the evening.

Great steak, New York strip the way it is supposed to be..

Atmosphere was good with the grill right as you walk in. Staff was very friendly. I had the ribeye and the flavor was good and it was cooked to medium as I like it but the meat was still a little tough. It did take a little longer than I thought it should have to get out food and we were just about the only people in the place.

TERRIBLE service! The restaurant was far from full, and yet we waited close to an HOUR to receive our entrees (for just 2 people)!

Great find! Restaurant has been operating since 1969 and much of the style has withstood the years in a surprisingly-good way. Very clean and staff was extremely courteous. Fried appetizers are hand-breaded and quite tasty. Steaks (we had the NY Strip) and grilled shrimp were cooked to perfection and taste was fantastic--easily the best I've encountered in Columbus area after having tried most at some point. We arrived early (6ish) on a Saturday night and didn't experience any of the extended wait times that I read was the experience of other reviewers. All-in-all, a really great restaurant that we will be back to visit soon and would probably now be a top pick to take our visting friends and family to.
